Supervision

Clinical supervision provides training and guidance for clinicians entering the counseling field who are eligible for licensure or hold an Associate Professional Counselor license. Melissa is a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor offering supervision in both individual and group formats. 
 
Supervision is a safe space for new clinicians to navigate how to put our clinical knowledge and skills into practice. You’ll also find a place to discuss the other aspects of this wonderful career. We’ll discuss:

• Sharpening clinical skills

• Finding balance, avoiding burnout, and practicing self-care
• Navigating the licensing process
• Navigating and support in resolving ethical dilemmas
• Learning how to build and manage a practice
• Discovering the clinical style that makes you the unique therapist you are

Supervision with Coats Counseling is a supportive environment designed to help you navigate the multi-faceted elements that make up being a Licensed Professional Counselor. Many clinicians choose to continue their supervision post-licensure to continue their professional development and have additional support often needed in our profession.
