I am often asked what inspired me to become a counselor, and for me, the answer is simple: I genuinely care about people. My greatest joy comes from walking alongside individuals on their life journeys, offering support, partnership, and guidance as they navigate challenges and discover their own paths forward.
In my practice, I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational Cultural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness. My work centers on fostering greater self-awareness and comfort with the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. |
I strive to meet every client in a non-judgmental, safe, and welcoming space, where we can collaboratively explore the obstacles you may be facing. My experience includes supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, those seeking to define or explore their sexual identities, concerns related to dating and relationships, open relationship dynamics, body image, and religious trauma. I am committed to cultural competence and approach each client as a unique individual, fostering an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Professionally, I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional and a Certified Somatic Therapy Foundations Practitioner.
Outside of my work, I am a proud mother of three adult children and two cats. When I am not in the office, you will likely find me in my garden, nurturing plants and dreaming up new recipes for my kitchen.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you move toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding
